Yes that’s right – Wardington Village Cinema is showing another fantastic film!

This time we are screening The recently released “Far from the Madding Crowd”  on Friday 16th October at 8pm.

Based on the literary classic by Thomas Hardy, Far From the Madding Crowd is the story of independent, beautiful and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene (Carey Mulligan), who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts), a sheep farmer, captivated by her fetching willfulness; Frank Troy (Tom Sturridge), a handsome and reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood (Michael Sheen), a prosperous and mature bachelor. This timeless story of Bathsheba’s choices and passions explores the nature of relationships and love – as well as the human ability to overcome hardships through resilience and perseverance.

But its not all good news – Due to an increase in the charges we pay to Phoenix cinema for the projectionist and film equipment and film licence – we now need to sell at least 44 tickets to break-even.  We  don’t want to increase the ticket prices so encourage the village to continue to support the film nights by increasing the attendance – Please invite your friends and families and advertise this fun and social evening to whom ever you can.

As usual there will be free ice-creams at the half time interval and a raffle.  Please email wardingtoncinema@hotmail.com or let us either Sam Young (01295 750 871) or Paul Bimson (01295 758 855) know if you plan to attend, so we can ensure we buy enough ice-creams.
