Scarecrow Competition: Weekend of 10th & 11th June
Village Fete: Sunday 11th June

The Scarecrow competition will run for the week running up to the Fete. Create a scarecrow based on a children’s book and display it in front of your house. £5 entry fee, collect an entry form from Jane Meredith, Orchard Cottage, Mount Pleasant, Wardington (first house on the left as you turn left just past Barn Farm Plants if you’re coming into the village from the A361). A downloadable form will be posted here as soon as possible.

The Fete will take place in the Manor gardens on Sunday 11th June between 2 and 5pm. You can help by coming along and having fun, enjoying a cream tea or hot dog, drinking a glass of Pimms. Please donate bottles of wine to the Film Club for their stall (see Paul Bimpson and Sam Young) and bake a cake for the cake stall (take cakes to the Manor on Sunday morning).

The gardens will be open, which will be the only opportunity this year to look round. There will be many stalls and games run by the village and proceeds are going towards the Memorial Hall rear terrace and to Katharine House Hospice.
