Wardington Village Cinema is back next Friday (9th February) screening Victoria & Abdul:

The extraordinary true story of an unlikely friendship in the later years of Queen Victoria’s (Judi Dench) remarkable rule. When Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal), a young clerk, travels from India to participate in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, he is surprised to find favour with the Queen herself. As the Queen questions the constrictions of her long-held position, the two forge an unlikely and devoted alliance with a loyalty to one another that her household and inner circle all attempt to destroy. As the friendship deepens, the Queen begins to see a changing world through new eyes and joyfully reclaims her humanity.

Doors open at 7:15 pm and the screening will start at 8 pm – Please pay on the door (£6.50 standard or £4.50 concessions) but ensure you let us know if you plan to attend.  Contact either Paul (01295 758855) or Sam (01295 750871) or email wardingtoncinema@hotmail.com so we can ensure we have enough people to hold the event.  Free ice creams will be served, as usual, in the half time interval when a raffle will also be drawn (prize donations will be gratefully accepted).

We look forward to seeing you all.
